Hi Terry and Arlene. Do you all have any pics that you can share? Sounds like you got a good setup already. Are you guys doing the upholstery yourselves? |

If you"re thinking about a triple log toon, then I would go with at least a 115 HP or even better, a 150 if you can swing it. The main reasons for going with a 3rd log are better stability/ride in rough water, more load capacity (people) and the ability to use a larger HP engine. Although your children are young now, if you intend to keep the toon for any length of time, you will all appreciate the extra power down the road. If you are boating in somewhat calm waters, don"t plan on having but 4 or 5 extra folks onboard and just plan on cruising around or fishing, then a 2 log with a 90 HP or so will definitely get the job done. I have a 20" 2 log with a 90HP and it pulls a tube just fine and moves along pretty well with 4 or 5 people onboard. Most of the time it"s just the two of us of us and it"s been great so far. All just depends on what you plan on doing and how deep your pockets are..

Hi everyone! I"m new to the forum, have lurked a little since getting our 24" sunchaser 2 yrs ago...we just traded it & picked up a 30" Suntracker last week!
We live in Mexican Hat Utah! 90 miles from Lake Powell...did not want a houseboat as we want to travel some...& like bringing it home with us! We got home with it last Saturday night & left Sunday morning for a 1 nighter! Had to see what all we"re going to need... I had read on here that ST"s are considered the wally world boats...I didn"t tell my husband that until after we bought it, though...I think it"ll fit our lifestyle fine! I enjoy all the stories, the re-builds...etc...lots of info. |

If you can haul that far, then think about the Official PontoonStuff Get-Together in Carlyle, IL Aug 5th-8th. It"ll actually start on the 6th with a tour of the Wise company plant (we hope). |

Wildcat Dude... Our trip to PCB is our annual trek. We usually have 15-20 of us. Kids, their husbands, grandkids and great-grandkids. We"ve been doing this for about 10 years. That said; it would be nice if we could figure out a way to make it down for the get-together. Thanks for the invite. |

Hello from Brownsburg, IN (just West of Indy).
My father"s had a 21" SunTracker for a couple years now and my wife and I just began the search for our first boat. Spending lots of time on the internet and in showrooms trying to learn what we like, what price range we"re shooting for, best engine for us, etc. Definitely have learned a lot so far and really love this site. There are definitely some interesting pontoon forums out there... |
