We're kinda high jacking Blocker's thread here, but I built mine flush across the tops w/24" dia outer tubes and a 26" dia center tube. I looked at a number of OEM tritoons w/performance packages and 4" drop down seemed to be the norm w/either a 4" dia. larger center tube w/all flush across the top or, if I remember right, all 3 tubes same dia w/the center tube being elliptical in shape and held 4" lower.

Pretty dern good!  It raised the bow by a couple of inches (unloaded) and improved the "attitude" of the boat.  It increased the drag a little bit and I lost a MPH or two off of the top end, but The `Blocker was never designed to be a speed demon.

I still have a little bit of work to do in this area though.  My previous modifications (extending the rear toons and reducing the transom water capacity) moved the "center of buoyancy" back just a little bit further than I anticipated.  I'm going to continue to "whittle away" on this... but that will probably be another winter activity.

OK Scott.  I have searched your rebuild, all 11 pages, and cant seem to see anywhere where you have said specifically what material, size, thickness, etc.  that you used for your replacement walls.  I saw you searching, and then, "my new walls arrived".  I need to order ASAP, and don't want to make a toio expensive, or too heavy decision.  What say you sir?  Advice?

Hmmmm... SonO*inappropriate language not permitted*un.  I thought the information was in there somewhere.

My walls came from Parkland plastics.  They are a 1" (total thickness) laminate made from matte silk finish white Plastex on both sides of white foam (couldn't use other style foams due to the desired finish thickness).  They are not structural and I have them held in place with plastic rivets.

Way back in 2008 I got the panels for under $60/ea and they were delivered in about 2 weeks.

As I've already mentioned, I really like these panels.  But, if I wanted to I could probably put my fist through one (although I'm sure I'd break a couple of knuckles).

My husband and I are in the process of rebuilding out Tracker Party Hut but we are having a very hard time finding material for the walls. What are your new walls made of and where do you purchase them? Thanks

She got a new AC unit for 2016.... and finally, a solution for that nasty "hitting the bridge" problem!

Tested already... they work!

Yup!

Don't get me wrong, they are only designed for 1-2" max of bridge interference.  But it is that level of interference that has destroyed my AC shroud and some railing components in the past.  It's a strange sensation for feel The `Blocker "squat" as the rollers engage the edge of the bridge.

Nominally they just protect me from a port-starboard list due to uneven loading and ballast.... or "touches" if the water happens to unusually rough or some nimrod has rolled wakes in the channel.

No problem!

Now remember, I have bridge clearance problems, so "Low profile" is a priority for me.

I HAD a Carrier 15.5KBTU unit with a heat strip on there for about 8 years.  Lowest profile unit available.  It was great the first couple of years, but started to get jinky after that.  I was also gross overkill for the volume of my cabin and sometimes caused load problems when I was on shore power.

Carrier got out of the RV A/C business a few years ago.

The "lowest profile" units now are the Coleman Mach 8's.  I've had Coleman's before and their service life and performance have impressed me.  The original unit on The `Blocker was a Coleman (which was only removed due to the bridge, and that unit is still functioning in a different installation).

So this time around I went with the Mach 8 "Cub" (9.2KBTU) with a heat strip.  Plenty of cooling power for my "small" cabin, and I can even run it off of my inverter.  No "hard starting" issues, or load shedding required when running off of shore power (or the genny).  And it's pretty dern quiet.

I got it through PPL Motorhomes.  Good folks and I've done business with them quite a few times.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

I don't like the "deluxe" interior ceiling kit for the Coleman as much as the Carrier (which had motorized "sweeping" deflector vanes)..... but it's not a bad looking unit.

And they also remind you what boat you're on... in case you'd forget.

Had to print the shrouds in two pieces, which is unfortunate.  But I got better with the seam by the 4th unit.

This is before I coated them with UV protecting clear spray.
