So I bought an 88 Riviera Cruiser that was 1 owner and lift kept in fresh water, never been on a trailer and the interior was like new soft and stain free!! Now it hadn't ran in three years so ive done some repairs to get it running and found the throttle linkage stiffness broke the throttle arm in the controls is why he quit using it.... when I picked it up we noticed the transom assembly very loose on the rear of the boat after we put it on the trailer.Ouch  so there are only two crossmembers holding it to the boat and the rear one is broken free from the boat and bowed down!!! ive looked at several newer toons and they have like 6-8 crossmembers in the rear unlike mine!!!! im in the process of adding 2x2 box tubing as additional crossmsmbers. has anyone else ran across something like this before?

also how far should this this have the engine behind the cut out on the floor? the engine seems really far back and the cut out in the floor isn't necessary due to how far the engine is from the floor and its just adding leverage to the already inadequate support
