So I got a new console from PontoonStuff and I'm almost done.  I got wheel/gauges/etc mounted.  I saved the shifter for last...prob going to be a big mistake.

The shifter is pretty long, and it's flat, and the shifting/throttle cables extend flat beyond it a ways.  The problem is the console does not have a flat side, it's wider around the top then tapers in to the base.  If I just drill a hole in the center/side, the shifter cannot sit flush to the side of the console.

If I move it all the way up and forward it might fit, but it's going to be close, and it will put the shifter in a pretty awkward position.

Does anyone have any ideas???

So I think all the internals will clear and cables stay free if I put it up high where the green circle is.  I wanted to have it lower near the red circle.  But I guess this will have to work.

Looks like that would work. I switched mine up to top mount so I didn't have to deal with it.....
