Got a super deal on this party barge, and am in the process of replacing deck and seats.

I have removed the old seats and the railing, and am starting on the deck. However, I'm having a heckuva time trying to remove the throttle control from the console. I'd like to save the fiberglass console top and just build a new base. Does anyone know the trick(s) to remove this throttle assembly without tearing up everything?

Here is a link that may help.  I found that the socket size may be different from what the video show based on other info I found on the removal.

Not worth the effort to rebuild the console. Just buy a new one from Pontoonstuff you will be a lot happier.

Thanks everyone! I agree it's probably not worth the rebuild, but I still have to get the damn thing off...Unhappy I'll try the link!  Weather has been pretty chilly here and expecting some snow, believe it or not, so not a lot of progress. Here is the latest

I tried to save mine too. I broke it! Went with a top mount controller.
