           Hi Mike,

I bought my Misty, in 2016. I got it to our dock, and I decided to try all the switches.
I found the docking lights didn't work. I called the dealer, the fella they sent out just turned the lights on a few times, and they came on. He told me they were fixed.
[ this told me, I would be better to make the repairs myself ]

Then I watched as the 3/8 inch foam tape in the side rails to prevent rattling started falling out. This looked really foul. I stuffed it back in.
I told the dealer to fix this tape before they stored it for me .

Next spring, the tape came loose some more, and the accessories were hit or miss. I made reapairs again.
This season, I learned that I should have asked for a livewell timer, and that the wimpy ribbed squishy aerator hose they used for the livewell pick-up, is not made for direct sunlight. The hose turned brittle, and cracked open, and then no more livewell.

I replaced my seized up livewell pump, replaced that wimpy hose with series 48 reinforced plastic hose, and installed a livewell timer.

I tightened the spade terminals on all the accessories, and applied Contax to all terminals.

I tacked all that foam tape in pace with clear flex adhesive .

I sent Misty Harbor the info on what type of hose to use for the livewell pumps.

              { Misty harbor is the only one who instructs their mechanics to use this cheap hose }

They told me, " they would advise their design team on the info I sent them from West Marine "
I think they are blowing smoke up ________

I leave my pontoon in the water all summer and my live well pump only last about 1 year and that is on a Tracker pontoon. My is a 1993 that I rebuild a couple of years ago and I tried to use better stuff.

Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear bout the 1 year pump life. My last boat was a 1995 Lund 1890 tournament V. My stuff lasted 10 years.
It had timers for it's livewells. I replaced my factory pump with a cartidge pump. I used screws, so I can take the two out, and swivel the pump out from under the pump mount cover, when the motor fails.
You mention Weyauwega, ? I have , still miss the white bass runs in Fremont. I loved the fishing 4 hrs. , then cleaning fish for 6 hrs. Stayed at Wolf Ridge. I had my Lund there in 2005. Needed a 40 lb river anchor.
I think pontoons need their pumps cleaned during the season, cause they sit where the weeds, and schmuz float around.
I hope your toon, and the fall white bass treat you well !
