Hi Everyone,
I just purchased my first toon.  It is a 2000, 19ft Bennington, with a 60hp Evinrude engine.
I'm sure to ask a bunch of questions that I know you will be eager to answer.  Wink

Yes, we took it for a test drive and it operates well.  Runs like a top.  The previous owner disconnected the oil pump in favor of mixing gas and oil.  He heard these engines may have problems with the oil pump.
I have never had a problem with my other boat motor's oil pump, Johnson 90hp (1988), but I guess it is better safe than sorry.

Took the boat out last weekend and it drove like a top.  Then all of the sudden, I was idling and putting the bimini top up, and it stalled.  Was in the middle of a big lake so I tossed the anchor to keep us from floating farther from the dock than we were.  Battery was dead, trolling battery #1 was dead, trolling battery #2 started us up and we got back to the dock, then it stalled again.  I'm thinking a new fuel filter would help.  I put new gas and oil in, so don't think it was that.  Start w/the cheapest first then work fwd.  Will need new batteries though.
