I am putting in new PS interior in my pontoon.  My old flip chair had a cooler built in and there was an ice box in the bar.  I am getting rid of both those units so I am losing my coolers.
Has anyone ever tried lining a plastic seat base with stryofoam and making a cooler out of it?  I would think it would work great considering they have drain holes.
Speaking of drain holes; do you allow them to just to drain on the floor or do you drill a hole in the floor and attach a hose to the drain?

Thanks,
Drew

Others have done things like this.  I haven't.  Try the search function for possible info.

I initially used it without insulation. The ice melted fairly quickly, once I put the insulation in it was golden. I just have it crammed in there I didn't want to permanently attach it. No pics with insulation but I have some without. I let it drain right out under the rail, but others have drilled a hole in the floor with a drain pipe.
