Bought a 1992 Sun Tracker Party Express 2400. 24 foot, it has a Johnson 150 V6 Fast Strike sitting on the back that runs very well. But I can not find any sticker or plate with model or serial number. From researching the web it looks like maybe 1991-1994? Thanks for any help!!!!

There should be a round "disc" on top with numbers/letter stamped on it.  Copy it down and post here or call give the numbers to an authorized Johnson/Evinrude dealer who can cross reference them.

If the boat is a 92 wouldn't the motor most likely be a 92 also?

I looked and found no disk on top of engine. Found what looks to me to be a freeze plug on the back.G3035223 and then under it 193258.

I would hope so and it runs great just want to be prepare for down the road. Someone has gone thru it because you can see the new gasket behind the heads. And I own an inboard boat so don't know much about outboards. He did not have any paper work and in Alabama you don't have title just reg. Thanks.

Typically the serial and date information is on a tag located on the engine leg or transom mount.... not under the cowl.

Sadly, they are often easy to remove or paint over.

And I've been told that you want to hope that it is a `91 or a `92 since those engines were monsters that actually put out something like 168HP at the prop......

Tilt the engine all the way down and look close to where the steering rod goes thru the front of motor and also look at the trim pump , it should have a no on it too . My son says most everything from 90 to 96 interchange on these motors . That is one powerful engine
