Where are the regulars? Lately it seems the forum is unusually quiet. Has something changed in here?

Sure seems like a slow fall.  Been that way on some other forums also.  Hopefully after a much needed break I'll have a new project to show off Wink

Things always slow down in the winter, although it seems to be happening a bit earlier this year. It will most likely pick back up.

I don't know if I'm considered a regular or not but I check this form about 50 times as day for new post, but lately there hasn't been much that I could help with so I haven't really posted much!

Sure do but sadly I haven't been out very much! My 1 year old son breaking his leg kinda put boating on hold . He finally got the cast off and everything is healed and we have been to the lake once and drug the tube around for a few hours before dark then pulled up in a nice sandy cove/beach and set the BBQ up and grilled fajitas for dinner. After everybody ate we took a slow cruise back to dock in the pitch black, it was awesome.....I didn't have my phone so I didn't get any pics I had plans to go to the gulf this weekend to catch the bull red run but that's off do to an emergency trip to mississippi because grandpaw is having heart problems, so if that turns out ok maybe next weekend I'll have some pics.....by the way i'm still wearing shorts and t shirts here in Texas, we had a high of 87 today

Yeah it does seem a little slow around here.  Everybody must be sad that spring is so far away!

I was hoping to make a last run this upcomng Monday.  The weather forecast is now calling for highs in the low 50s and upper 30s for that night.  Looks like my last ride might have been 2 weeks ago!!!!

our lake is about 6 ft low.  Temps have been unusually high all summer.  Just hasn't been as much fun.  Kinda down in the mouth about the whole thing!!!  Ermm  But if i can work on the boat this winter -- Thumbs Up  Now we need lots of rain up here otherwise we'll start with a low lake next year and it could get worse.   Ouch    Kinda where i"m at .

Squirrel season opens here tomorrow and its supposed to get in 40s this weekend. Everyone is in the woods but I'm planning on hitting the water most of this month. It won't be in the toon though as I plan to go offshore and shoot something and try and catch some tuna. Spent the first night of the year at the camp last night and worked on duck blinds today. Yep its that time of year.

Quite a few people changed their names. Might take awhile to figure out who they are.

I've not been on much this summer due to family & health issues. I've not even had time to finish up the sun deck & privacy enclosure I built or even got started on the 93 Voyager I bought to set up strictly for fishing. I did get the E-Tech 90 mounted on the Voyager & set up but still have the console to set in place & connect all the electrical to.  Health has not been good at all this year but I getting  better. Hoping to get back on "key" & start posting again with the updates to my projects. It's been a bummer year so far but hopefully will be looking better soon.

Only problem with this Ty is you don't have that beautiful toon anymore! Now you just created yourself more work, since you'll have to update it again when you get your next boat!

I had forgotten about the name changes. Might be why I don't recognize anyone anymore. LOL  They say the memory is the second thing to go...... I can't remember what the first is. LOL

One name that seems conspicuously absent is Charles. Hes just down the road from me and I had asked him about some wiring assistance, but his health was not good.  Does anyone know if he's left the forum, or if he's ok?

Thanks

Not only Charles, but now Rick seems to have left the forum. Their user names have been changed to "Guests". Would administration kindly explain what is going on. These two administrators have left with no explanation, and both were a very large asset to this forum.

Charles resigned from the forum a short time ago.  Shortly after it was decided that the staff at PontoonStuff would take over all responsibilities of moderating the forum.  Speaking of changes, if any of our members have any suggestions for the forum, please let us know in the Tell Us What Think section!

The forum seems to be running smoother since the change.  All my information was deleted because I had a yahoo email which i had for over 10 years but I did get a gmail address so I could get back on.  Keep up the good work. can I go back to my yahoo email on this forum?

You should be able to.  I must admit I'm not as savvy as some with the settings and such, but I believe you can now go to your profile, and edit your personal information any way you would like.  If you have trouble, please feel free to PM me and we will take a look.
