Got the boat show fever, so we've got down to a short list finally. All you owners out there: What might be your preferences? We're looking at 22' cruise n fish, 150 hp tritoons. One dealer has a really nice looking Bentley (24') that we're about to take for a ride. He can put it on the trailer for $42k including fish finder (factory installed), changing room, ski tow bar, & porta-potti. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Good looking boat.

Another has a 22' Veranda, 150 hp with about the same gear (livewell, etc) for $46k on the trailer. The idea of the aluminum decking is interesting, but I haven't seen a lot of input as far as people with experience with this construction.

The third is a Cypress Cay 22' Seabreeze with basically the same gear as the others. We're looking at about $36k on the trailer.

We'll be taking them all out to see how they handle, etc. in the next week or so weather permitting. We'll be mostly on Lake Keowee SC, so we don't expect much rough water compared to Lake Erie lol.

This will be our first boat that we actually own, so we want it to be as pleasant an experience as possible.

Any guidance out there?

I'm not an expert on $$ but a couple of those prices seem a tad high....especially for a boat show sale.
One thing I would highly recommend you keep in mind....is there a dealer/repairman near you that work on your engine.  The best price to me isn't the best price if I have to tow the boat 5 hours to have the engine serviced then 5 hours back home.

Edit.... We went to the Mid Atlantic Boat Show in Charlotte NC this last week.  I about had a heart attack when I saw the prices on the pontoon boats!!!  Your prices are pretty much on line with what we saw.  Heck, I might MAKE money if I sell mine in the next couple years!  Mine is a 2019 and I got it under the wire of the price hikes on aluminum.  Guess the hikes were much worse than I thought.

The great thing about excruciating pain is....at least you know you are alive.

We've been out on all three boats & to me it seems the Cypress is the best value. We were also pretty impressed with the Bentley, which had a lot of features. The Veranda with basically the same equipment was a little too spendy for our budget. Looks like we'll be going with the Cypress Cay.

Thanks for your input.
