'been away for quite a while, having bought and sold a few boats.
'bit o history:

I started with a 14'-25 hp pontoon that proved to be a bit much for my little 4 cyl/5 speed Toyota -only on the Ramp but I didn't want to tear up the clutch.

So I bought a 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive w/granny low LOL

Then I decided I needed a larger boat, so I got a 24'-55 hp pontoon
This was Great BUT I wanted to camp SO:

I sold both of them after getting this
'84 28' Patio Cruiser w/70hp
This thing is great in that it fits on a trailer and parks under my carport
This is the boat for me in that I would not sell it for 3x's my purchase price
or trade it for any boat I've ever seen.

My lake of choice is Shasta in n. CA which is 55 miles from me and 28,000 acres with 365 miles of shoreline.

I don't so much need more room but think if I use what I have more efficiently I'd be better off so I figure I'd mount the grill/ice chest and trash can outside the front railing.  (see pics)

I don't fish so I keep an eye out for driftwood and floating pop bottles and lost fishing lures (this is why you don't go barefoot at the lake)

I built this Bottle Catcher to make it easy to bag the bots.  The old way I'd have to make 2 or 3 passes and almost fall in the lake or spill my beer and often curse during the darn event.

so make your boat Your Boat, 'you gave the factory a try but they dropped the ball  Wink
do all you can
as best you can
for as long as you can
keep the faith
&
keep on boatin'
'use to say:
keep on truckin'
