Have a neighbor that wants to sell. The boat has a Force/Tracker motor rebuilt in 2010. The caveat, the motor has not been used since rebuild account unforseen medical problems. He is asking $3000 >
The boat has a aluminum deck. The carpet is bad. I am scared of the motor . Any opinions on value ?
Thanks

Trailer?   Has the motor been run since overhaul or just sat?  Hows the furniture and console?  If motor OK and furniture good etc, then price is decent.  trailer would be a bonus.  But I'd want a mech to check the motor if it has just sat since overhaul.  My 2 cts.

No trailer ! Console and furniture OK. Boat has sat since rebuild ! June of 2010.  Seller wants me to pay for mechanic I think , and I'm not sure I want to do that, but guess I will if I want to buy.?

It's actually typical for the buyer to pay for any vessel survey or check. Sometimes you can get a mechanic from a local shop to come on his time off and it'll save you a little dough.
