Hi guys-

This is my first post on this forum. I am currently in the process of restoring my 1996 24 foot Omni Cruiser. The boat was in ROUGH shape, and essentially the only thing worth saving is the pontoons and the motor. So far I have the boat stripped all the way down to the pontoons.

I am hoping to update this post as I progress with my restoration and to pick your brains when I run across problems. I am also open to any feedback or advice that anyone can give or see as I am redoing the boat. Below are the before pics and what it looks like today.

I am looking at buying the carpet today from PontoonStuff.com. I am thinking of going with the 28 oz tan carpet. I received a couple sample splotches and it seems like quality stuff.

Look forward to hearing from you guys.

Thanks!

Yep, that is the marine plywood. I got 3/4 inch plywood from Menards. They had their 11% sale this week so I can't complain. Your rebuild looks great looks like I can learn a few tips and tricks from you.

I appreciate the offer, unfortunately with the color scheme we are going to go with the tan. I am down in the 54935, great that there are some local members!

Progress! Redecked the pontoon with 3/4 inch marine grade plywood, and some carpet from www.BoatCarpetBuys.com we went with the 28 oz tan carpet. I love it, very high quality! I also tried cleaning up the tubes with a little bit of aluminum cleaner and some elbow grease. I will hit them up better in the spring when I can get a pressure washer on them. With only a couple of hours of work though they are already looking a lot better!
