Ok, here she is, in all her glory. I am sure she was very nice in her earlier days, but she is getting ready to be "Stuff'd".

I want to trade the refridgerator and sink and huge console for something more geared toward catfishing. Bait tank/cooler seat with some sort of rod rack/stand for at least 12 rods to be off of the floor while underway on the boat.

This is going to be the nicest boat that we (the wife and I) have had since we have been together. This is boat number 7 in 8 years of knowing each other.

I have to get the 70 HP four stroke Suzuki motor off of my current fishing boat and get it installed on the Fisher then get her out there to test her out before I pull the trigger on the 3.5K list that I have just printed out from PS.  I'm looking forward to working with these guys though. I haven't read anything bad about their service and that says a lot.

THE LIST:
Get the motor on
Take it on the water to check her out with the motor
let her sit in the water for a couple days
pull her out of the water and check for water in the toons
Pull the trigger on ordering my list from PS
Receive and inventory everything
Hopefully borrow a bay in my brothers huge shop
Get about 3-6 (ok, maybe more) cases of beer and a lot of friends with their tools as well as mine to spend a weekend on it and see where we get

Go from there.....
the reason for being inside the shop, besides the possible weather issues is that I can work on it late at night and/or all throught the night to get it fixed up

Sorry for the sideways pictures. I will try to remember not to take them sideways for the rest of them.  Many more to come.

I have a 94 Fisher 240 that I just redid a bunch of things on. And I'm an avid catfisher too. You can look at my "Looney Toon" thread to see what mine started as. I'll update the thread later today and you can see what it looks like now. It may give you some ideas. I made an under seat rod locker, and I'm building a rod rack that mounts on the side rail now.

Thanks for the picture cuda.

Guys, here is a rough layout that I want input on. I don't need a big driver seat so I was thinking of driving from the back couch.
The box area just in front of console will be a little bit shorter than the console and will be used for  tackle, rod storage, and will have a cutting board on the top of it. In front of that is a livewell/ bait tank that will have a padded seat to match the rest of the boat.

Let me know what you think please.

As you will be able to see from the pictures, I got the new engine mounted and it runs great on the boat.

How do you guys think it is sitting in the water being a 20ft boat with a 70 four stroke on it? looks a little low. I have yet to check the pontoons, but it is sitting in the water right now while I'm at the fire station trying to see if they take on water.

Took the kids out for a swim and rode around a little bit. I had a 32' riviera cruiser for a while and it was a beast, but this one def feels like it sets up higher in the water and is much smoother to operate. That Riv was a whole lot of boat.  I will def be a pontoon snob now. Not sure if I will be able to go back to anything else again if I get this thing set up for catfishing also.

It's sitting in the water just like a 20 footer with a 70 fourstroke.

My 21 ftooter squatted in the stern a little when I put the 70 fourstroke on it.

Latest progress from last night.  I will have some time, so I think we are going to try and polish, wax, polishing compound, the fence to see what it will look like. Looks like it should clean up pretty good. Fence has some dents and bends but I'm going to leave all that.

All the pontoon stuff is currently in Charlotte. I go one seat pad set from one truck and my mom told the freight truck with the plywood to take it back to the terminal yesterday(miscommunication). So I'm waiting on the terminal to have people on the dock to assist me. All the other shipments say they are on a truck to be delivered today! I am super excited and nervous to get started on the rebuilding. More updates hopefully very soon we are going to the outer banks Saturday for a week and I am hoping to get it to a point that I can take it down there and finish it all.

Got the wood, glue and vinyl down and caps put on this evening. Also got the rear rails and fuel tank installed. Still need to adjust the depths of the sun deck where the changing room was. It is no longer going to be a changing room. It is going to store life jackets etc. and the rear seat was ordered all the way across the back. Pictures to follow!!!!!!!

Got her on the water. Still not buttoned up completely but at least we can use her through the rest of the project. Love the console at the back seat. The wife can set right beside me while I drive. All the electrical is not done so I haven't put the front on the console yet.
How have you guys screwed it on? I don't think mine came with screws. Just screw through the vinyl?

HA! You are going to need a bigger boat! That's some crew you have there. Looks like all were enjoying the cruise.

Good job on the rebuild.

So do you get any spray having the captains chair in the back corner like that? I will be starting a project soon and i like that layout. I would love to drive from the back bench seat like that.

Alright guys, it's been a while. The boat basically looks the same as it did in the last pictures. I have installed LED strip lighting for the red and green gravitation lights on the front corners, as well as led black lights on the outside of the fence rails on the front corners for lighting flourescent fishing line while catfishing. The black lights also have very bright white LEDs in the strip as well. They will be on a seperate switch for the docking lights.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get the table bases in the floor. Today we really could have used them. One huge cooler was the only "table top" that we had. With everyone's drinks in that cooler it was pretty annoying.

Other projects include saving up money to have the sun deck covered and a carport to put it under. Finishing the wiring, including speaker wires and securing it all to the floor. Including installing speakers in the seat bases. Depth finder and transducer install.

Also, there is already wiring for the aerator and there is one already on the boat so just finishing up wiring that. I haven't put a bait tank on the boat and I think I want to just run a hose from the aerator and be able to stick it in a bucket with an overflow that flows out under the rail.
Does anyone have experience with this? A part time bait tank with aerator hose that could possibly double as a wash down?
Thanks for all the ideas in advance.

Dizzy, I do not get any spray on the back seat. I have used a about 6 times now with up to 7 people adults and I love it and would not have a captains chair again. These seats with the armrest and the basic console are an awesome combination.

Hide it in your seat.. that's what I did. IT won't work for a wash down though.

Check out page 2 about 3/4 of the way down there are pics of how I did it.
