Am I blind or doesn PS not offer changing rooms other than bimini top curtains? I like the idea of a box to hide the toilet in along with some extra storage, but can not seem to find anything other than the bimini top curtain. hardware would be nice.. a cusion would be nice.. I could probably make everything else for it. let me know ideas please........

There are a few companies that offer "pop out" changing rooms that are built in to a lean back, or over sized arm rest.  It's just not some thing we've had the opportunity to develop in a manner that we feel would bring a superior product to the market.  The bimini changing curtain offers the most bang for the buck, and is much larger than the pop out styles.

lol.. Omg.. Its killing me to get out there. I hooked up my battery last week and had everything all ready to go for Saturday morning. Went down to get ready to go and my radiator on the truck had a pin hole in it right at the top. Let the engine cool a bit and sealed the pin hole in the radiator. Got up on the boat and turned the voltage meter on it and I get nothing. So I think that maybe the volt meter came unhooked, so I turn on the GPS, nothing.. So I think maybe my whole console came unhooked so I turn the engine over, nothing.... I take a meter out to check ec voltage to my battery. 2.12v... Cry.. Put my 6v charger on it. (all I have down in the sticks where the boat is.. hook it up and let it charge. I take off all the wires to the battery and I start checking resistances. Motor, infinate. Console 2.475ohms. So I unplug rear lights, still have resistance, unplug front lights, still have resistance, unplug the GPS, still have the resistance, unplug the digital volt meter and I got infinite.... Switch was bad on digital volt meter. Put it to a different switch and walla. I was good. It was about 11:30 when I got done with that so I thought I would have some lunch and let the battery charge. I ended up helping out sweeping the Pool cause I knew it was going to take a good while to charge the battery. So I wait til about 4:00 yo check battery, turn the meter on the check voltage and im at 3.49v. The 25 year old charger finally blew.. Ugh. So I get in the truck and run to TSC (25 minute drive) and bout a new charger (6 amp/2 amp) for 30 bucks. Take it back and put it on the boat. Its 6:00. I put it on 6amp to try to get it up a little before I go home. That charger shuts off after about 2 minutes. So I set it at 2amps and it charged it to 8.45v before I left Saturday at about 9:00. Sunday I got down at about 11:00. Put it on the 2 amp charge and got it to about 11.35v and then switched it to 6amp. It took the rest of the day to get it charged. So that was my great weekend of boating planned. Now its sitting there. Fully charged, just waiting... Ugh... Im itching so bad to get it out.

grimm, I feel your pain. My boat should have been in the water a month ago but with it being so busy I haven't had much time to work on it. My last set of 4 days of was supposed to be all work on the boat but it started raining on my last day of work and kept on for 5 days solid and then off and on for the next 5 or six daysAngry. Summer is well on it's way and I haven't even been on the lake yet. Been trying to get some holidays booked to get it done but we are short staffed and there is no chance of thatAngryAngry. I got 4 more days off coming up after 2 night shifts but I am heading out of town againAngryAngryAngry. Then my next days off I have company coming up and I can't even take them out on the boatAngryAngryAngryAngry. I guess we just have to keep on plugging away no matter how long it takes and not to take short cuts just to get it in the water. It will happen, and when it does it is going to be SWEETBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

I have also decided that starting this fall I will be working on a complete rebuild instead of the reface. It may take a little time to save up for it but im going to try to shoot for the complete rebuilt with a budget of 6000. Thats new rails, top, carpet, furniture, gauges, controls, a new tank with sending unit for console, and i will also be extending the boat roughly 4'. I have been producing drawings and lay outs for what i want when im done. I would like to thank this site for the ideas. Im going to be stealing some ideas from a couple different people and ill showpeople my drawings as i get them to the point where im happy with them.

still waiting to go out. Monday or Tuesday will be the day. Im in the planning stages of the rebuild and really need some help in the thought process. I have come to the decision that I am building my own rails from scratch.my original thought was to sandwich aluminum coil stock with styrofoam. And using 3/16" aluminum caps and channels but then thought that I need some additional inside support.  I dont have a square tubing bender but am an electrician so I can bend some aluminum conduit like a mad man. I'll be extending the deck and plan on doing something similar to kylesredapple with the fishing station on the back. (thanks for the great idea)... My fear is coil stock which is .019 will still be to thin to thin even though I plan on adhering it to the styrofoam.. Any infor would be helpful. I just dont like any railing I have found and want my own.

May be too late but here is an idea I just had why not slit your round conduit at top and bottom and slide your coil stock inside the slit for support. Offest the rest of the conduit so it will be inside and pop rivet it to the other rails. Just an idea not sure if it would work but I think it would look good

Gotta get it in the water buddy! I thought you'd be way ahead of me on this. If it doesn't rain tomorrow ( but it's supposed to) I'm going out for a full day run to finally put my motor to the test. Even if it's raining I might do it except in Atlanta when it rains the lightning is all over the place. That might be my only stopper, but I'm sure I'll get at least an hour or so at some point over the weekend. I hope you're able to as well! Good luck and have fun!

Not sure if this would work but, how about insulated aluminum garage door panels or something similar. The ones I have on my garage are 2" thick but you might be able to get thinner ones. Although they might be a bit heavy they would definatly be strong. Not sure what they would cost, might be cheaper to just buy the actual railing. worth looking into.

Been working 12 hour days for a while now. The life of shut down in a steel mill as an electrician... Im all ready and legal, I just need to pick the day.. Ugh

Those panels are a fine idea, but they are steel and im afraid would rust out in a marine environment. Im pretty sure i have the plan for the railing. Thanks for the suggestions, but i think 24" coil stock and foam is my route.

well I finally got the boat out there. I have some major wiring issues though. I have a dead short from somewhere. I'll be rewiring the entire thing when I finally start the full scale rebuild. it makes me angry that I keep killing my battery because of my dead short. I dont know if its the engine or the console but 1st thing 1st is a new battery. I got one from my brother in law but its was not as good as he said it was. So for now... She floats, the motor ran great, the splash up and cavitation is fixed and next stop will be starting to order new parts. When the deck comes off im fixing the toons for good, reinforcing and redoing the whole thing. I'll post pics soon and let you know how much water she has taken on in a 24 hour period.

here she is sitting in the water

With about 1300 lbs of people on it I still got 8.5 knots. i can get almost 14 knots with just myself and i can also get a small rooster tail with just myself on it.

I had a lot of weight in the front and barely any in the back with people so this picture doesnt do it justice of the actual wake. the cowl is off cause I had to pull start it at 1st because the battery died again from a dead short. I just have to invest in a new battery when I have some time. I tried to get away with using a battery my brother in law gave me but it wasnt any good either. switching the motor to the 9.9 and getting that new battery will be my next step. then ordering parts. woot!! she floats and runs great. thats the main thing!!!

Ill be posting some pictures eventually. The dead short was in my wiring for the boat.. I've rewired the entire thing and now have things officially looking good in the wiring department. I took some pictures of things I have done and ill post them eventually. I'm sick of this cold and am readty to get started on building these rails. I'm going to use styrofoam with aluminium coil stock glued to both sides of it. I have plans of future things and i'll be posting them.. By this fall it should be completed. But i'm not officially doing the rebuild til this winter because i plan on enjoying the pontoon this summer quite a bit more than I did in the past.

PS guy.. I have a question about products.. I'm looking at buying the lean back pontoon seats in the gray, charcoal and blue. While I was adding it along with many other seats to my wish list I noticed that the lean back seats were a different shade of blue that all the others. I want to know if its just the picture of if it is in fact a different color.

All of our colors match across the board.  If it's Ivory, the same vinyl is used for every Ivory seat, same with Gray, Blue, so on and so forth.  Wink

I have a question. Well some questions. 1st thing is i was wondering how much each one of these toons weigh. I was thinking of unbolting the deck and jacking it up and seeing if i could flip the toon on the side so icould work on the bottom and make sure everything is sealed nice and tight.

The next question is has anyone ever built their own water glide? I have 19 inch toons and the backs sit in the water so low that i would like to try and raise them up a bit. Ive thought about getting rid of it and getting a new one, but this baby still has life in it.. i cant seem to sell it because no one wants a 5000 dollar pontoon it seems so im going to make it nice.
